When you open and watch a video file, you will see that a time line runs below it.

Timestamped Comments

If comments have been activated then the comments can carry a time stamp with them. You have the option to turn on or off the timestamp on a comments. When ticked, it means that every comment you make on the video (on specific frames) gets linked to a timestamp.

Comments can then be ordered by 

  • Time posted
  • Time in video

Auto Pause 

When reviewing a video the video will pause when you start to write your comment
This can be turned on or off with the "Pause Video" function

In video or animation production, timecodes are used for synchronization (voice over, music…) and for identifying frames that need editing, for example.
