How to Validate Content with a Brand Guidelines Agent

Overview

The Brand Guidelines Agent feature in Assist allows you to automatically review and validate any content against your company's brand standards. This ensures all your communications—from social media posts to blog articles, email campaigns, presentations, and more—maintain compliance with your tone, voice, messaging, and formatting guidelines before publication.

  • Fix: Use sentence case (e.g., #creativeproduction)

Company Descriptors

  • Violation: Incomplete or incorrect company descriptions
  • Fix: Use the official descriptor from brand guidelines

Tone and Voice

  • Violation: Language that doesn't match brand voice (too formal, too casual, etc.)
  • Fix: Adjust wording to align with established tone guidelines

Messaging Standards

  • Violation: Missing key messaging points or value propositions
  • Fix: Include required messaging elements

Best Practices

Keep Guidelines Updated: Regularly update your brand guidelines PDF to ensure the agent has the latest standards

Be Specific in Instructions: When calling the agent, clearly state what you want reviewed (e.g., "Check tone and messaging" or "Review for brand voice compliance")

Review Before Publishing: Always perform a final human review after applying automated changes

Train on Multiple Documents: Upload additional brand resources (style guides, messaging frameworks) to improve accuracy

Use Consistently: Make the Brand Guardian agent part of your standard content workflow across all content types

Troubleshooting

Agent not finding violations:

  • Ensure your brand guidelines PDF uploaded successfully
  • Check that training is complete (not still "in progress")
  • Verify your guidelines document contains clear, specific rules

Agent being too strict or too lenient:

  • Adjust the agent's instructions to calibrate sensitivity
  • Provide examples of acceptable vs. unacceptable content in the instructions

Changes not applying correctly:

  • Review the specific violations identified
  • Manually adjust if Project Assist misinterprets the feedback
  • Provide more specific instructions to Project Assist
