Image Generation

Here is a help file based on the functionality shown in the video.

Using the Custom Image Generator

This guide explains how to use the Custom Image feature to generate, edit, and refine images using AI text prompts directly within your project.

1. How to Generate Your First Images

  1. From your project dashboard, click the New Output button (often in the top-right corner).
  2. A modal will appear titled "Choose an output template to use."
  3. Scroll through the list and select the Custom Image template.
  4. Click the Create button.
  5. You will be taken to the "Custom Image" interface, which features a chat panel on the left (titled "Project Assist") and an image grid on the right.
  6. In the "Project Assist" chat box at the bottom, type a prompt describing the images you want.

Example: "Give me some images of a cat"

  7. The AI will process your request and generate a grid of four images (labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4) for you.

2. How to Edit an Image Using Text

You can easily make changes to any of the generated images by referring to its number.

  1. Identify the image in the grid you want to change (e.g., image #1).
  2. In the chat box, type a new prompt referring to that image's number and the change you want.

Example: "please edit number 1 and make the cat jump"

  3. The AI will generate a new version of that specific image.
  4. To view variations: Click on the image in the grid (e.g., click image #1). A preview window will open, showing the new version (V2) and the original (V1) on the side, allowing you to compare them.

3. How to Edit an Image Using an Uploaded File

You can also introduce your own image as a reference for the AI to use in an edit.

  1. In the "Project Assist" chat, click the Upload a File icon (looks like a paperclip).
  2. Choose an image from your device (as shown with the Grinch image in the video).
  3. The file will appear in your chat input box.
  4. Type a prompt in the same message that tells the AI how to use your uploaded image and which existing image to edit.

Example: "please edit image #2 and have the grinch holding the cat"

  5. The AI will process both the text prompt and your uploaded image to create a new, combined image, replacing the old image #2.
  6. You can click the new image to open the preview and download it.
