GPT Image 2.5

GPT Image 2.5 is now available for image generation in Assist, with support for image editing and creating text within generated designs.

Start a new chat more easily: The “Start a new chat” button now stays pinned at the bottom of the project chat list, so you don’t need to scroll to find it.
Clearer tool errors: Tool error messages have been redesigned to make them easier to notice and understand.
Improved Word document creation: Agents now use the secure workspace when generating Word documents, helping files open and download correctly.
Better support for zipped skill assets: Agents can now access and use files included inside uploaded skill packages more reliably.
Outputs update automatically: Newly generated output content now appears without needing to refresh the page.
Download links appear automatically: New download links now become available in chat without needing to refresh.
Download skills directly: Skills can now be downloaded from the Organisation Skills area.
Improved Agent and Template Editors: The Agent Editor and Template Editor can now use specialist assistants to help complete more complex tasks.

More reliable output creation: Specialist assistants can no longer create outputs outside the correct Assist process.
Microsoft Fabric connection restored: A connection issue affecting Microsoft Fabric has been fixed.
Improved image selection: Image sets now use clearer numbering, making it easier to identify and select the image you want.
Stop button fixed: Selecting Stop now correctly ends the current run.
URL uploads restored: Files can once again be added to chats using a URL.
Better Word document support: Word documents are now created using the correct document tools for more reliable formatting and downloads.

Skill upload timestamps: Uploaded skills now display both the date and time of upload, making it easier to identify the latest version.
Send to Chat restored: The Send to Chat option is working again when selecting content inside document outputs.
Chats stay with the correct task: A fix prevents information from one task appearing in another task’s chat.
Download generated images: Images created in Assist can now be downloaded directly.
SVG file support: SVG files can now be uploaded and used in Assist.

Connected-tool usage and Pool B: Costs from connected tools can be charged to Pool B using a fixed amount per tool call set by account managers.
More complete agent cloning: Cloning an agent now includes its Agent Knowledge and attached skills.
Search templates and agents: Templates and agents are now easier to find using search.

HTML template previews restored: HTML templates now display correctly again.
Excel knowledge support: XLSX spreadsheets can now be used as knowledge in Assist.
Better access to project knowledge: Template chats can now use relevant output and project knowledge.
Chat-uploaded knowledge fixed: Files added to a chat are now correctly available as knowledge during the conversation.
Improved PowerPoint creation: The PowerPoint skill now confirms the intended content and creates a draft before generating the presentation.

Usernames displayed correctly: Assist now displays usernames instead of internal user IDs.
Image display fixed: Images are no longer cut off when viewed.
Improved pop-up sizing: Pop-up windows now fit their content more consistently.
Workspace Knowledge restored: A problem preventing agents from using Workspace Knowledge has been fixed.
Account-level user limits: User limits can now be managed at account level.

Owner and creator details: Workspace, agent and template ownership is now more visible.

Moving projects between workspaces

Projects can be moved from one workspace to another. Before moving a project, Assist displays important warnings about knowledge, chats and user access.

When a project is moved:

Included Workspace Knowledge from the previous workspace will no longer be visible to the agent.
Chats connected to the project remain in the original workspace.
Those chats are kept, but they become unlinked from the project and no longer use its knowledge.
Anyone who still needs access to the project must also have access to the destination workspace.

Before moving a project, check its chats, knowledge and user access to make sure nothing important is disrupted.

Agents can be cloned to create a new version with the same prompts, settings and supported skills.

Agent Knowledge was added to the cloning process on 10 August 2026.

Document Template Outputs make it possible to generate structured documents from an approved template.
