Agents can be cloned to create a new version with the same prompts, settings and supported skills.
Agent Knowledge was added to the cloning process on 10 August 2026.

Moving projects between workspaces
Projects can be moved from one workspace to another. Before moving a project, Assist displays important warnings about knowledge, chats and user access.
When a project is moved:
Included Workspace Knowledge from the previous workspace will no longer be visible to the agent.
Chats connected to the project remain in the original workspace.
Those chats are kept, but they become unlinked from the project and no longer use its knowledge.
Anyone who still needs access to the project must also have access to the destination workspace.
Before moving a project, check its chats, knowledge and user access to make sure nothing important is disrupted.

Knowledge can be tagged to make it easier for agents and templates to find and use the most relevant information.

Chat-uploaded knowledge fixed: Files added to a chat are now correctly available as knowledge during the conversation.
Improved PowerPoint creation: The PowerPoint skill now confirms the intended content and creates a draft before generating the presentation.

Connected-tool usage and Pool B: Costs from connected tools can be charged to Pool B using a fixed amount per tool call set by account managers.
More complete agent cloning: Cloning an agent now includes its Agent Knowledge and attached skills.
Search templates and agents: Templates and agents are now easier to find using search.

19 August 2026

Skill upload timestamps: Uploaded skills now display both the date and time of upload, making it easier to identify the latest version.
Send to Chat restored: The Send to Chat option is working again when selecting content inside document outputs.
Chats stay with the correct task: A fix prevents information from one task appearing in another task’s chat.
Download generated images: Images created in Assist can now be downloaded directly.
SVG file support: SVG files can now be uploaded and used in Assist.

4 September 2026

More reliable output creation: Specialist assistants can no longer create outputs outside the correct Assist process.
Microsoft Fabric connection restored: A connection issue affecting Microsoft Fabric has been fixed.
Improved image selection: Image sets now use clearer numbering, making it easier to identify and select the image you want.
Stop button fixed: Selecting Stop now correctly ends the current run.
URL uploads restored: Files can once again be added to chats using a URL.
Better Word document support: Word documents are now created using the correct document tools for more reliable formatting and downloads.

7 September 2026

Start a new chat more easily: The “Start a new chat” button now stays pinned at the bottom of the project chat list, so you don’t need to scroll to find it.
Clearer tool errors: Tool error messages have been redesigned to make them easier to notice and understand.
Improved Word document creation: Agents now use the secure workspace when generating Word documents, helping files open and download correctly.
Better support for zipped skill assets: Agents can now access and use files included inside uploaded skill packages more reliably.
Outputs update automatically: Newly generated output content now appears without needing to refresh the page.
Download links appear automatically: New download links now become available in chat without needing to refresh.
Download skills directly: Skills can now be downloaded from the Organisation Skills area.
Improved Agent and Template Editors: The Agent Editor and Template Editor can now use specialist assistants to help complete more complex tasks.

w/c 14 Sep: chat reliability

Chat now resumes when the stream drops mid-reply (AS-64). There are also stream heartbeats and a watchdog for when the stream never sends its end signal.
Turns can recover using a live token, there's a force-compaction toggle for Wooshii-dev, and a 500 on MessageUpserted/SQS is fixed (AS-65).
The Tests & Coverage CI checks are fixed.

14 September 2026

GPT Image 2.5
GPT Image 2.5 is now available for image generation in Assist, with support for image editing and creating text within generated designs.

22 Sep: big polish release

Shared files and links: expanded file sharing works again (AS-25), long filenames no longer break sharing (AS-26), and the support chat is hidden on shared links (AS-32).
Projects: chats are ordered by last interaction and show their dates (AS-49), outputs and files show timestamps (AS-42), and folders in the sidebar are easier to drop onto (AS-45).
Agents and templates: lists show who created each agent (AS-35), template type badges are correct (AS-24), and template instructions are followed throughout output generation. That fixes "image gen is too technical" (AS-44).
Perplexity Sonar models are available in agent selectors (AS-39).
Marketplace agents: knowledge, tagging and short-ID collisions are fixed. The proxy now accepts null usage fields, and a plan-mode deadlock is fixed (AS-67).

28 Sep

Sandbox skills up to 500 MB now upload via S3, and uploads no longer hang on slow connections.

29 September 2026 — See who created an agent

Agent cards in the Library now show the creator’s name, so you can see who made an agent at a glance.

29 September 2026 — Output timestamps

Outputs in projects now show when they were last updated, making it easier to find recent work.

You can now create and open a share link for an output with a long title. The sharing window keeps the title neatly shortened, while the shared document shows it in full.

You can now open a file in a project and create a share link directly from its preview.

Image template instructions
Fixed an issue where saved AI instructions in image templates could be ignored when creating or editing images.
Find your recent project chats more easily
Chats within a project are now ordered by their last interaction, bringing the most recently active chats to the top.
Activate integrations from chat
With approvals enabled, Assist can now activate an available integration when you approve the request.
Remove your agents and templates from chat
You can now ask Assist to remove agents and templates you created. With approvals enabled, Assist asks you to approve each removal.
Marketplace skill updates fixed
Fixed an issue where updates to Marketplace skills weren’t reaching installed copies. Existing chats now pick up the updated skill when they next use it.

2 Oct: MCPs and marketplace

MCPs can be activated from chat (AS-21), and custom MCP connectors can be edited (AS-33).
The MCP OAuth callback now completes properly (AS-51).
Workspace sharing loads users from every page, which fixes the sharing glitch (AS-36).
Marketplace skill updates now reach orgs that already installed the skill (AS-19).

6 Oct: streaming and approvals

Chat replies stream over the ai-proxy WebSocket (AS-1259 and AS-66).
The agent can read, edit and archive library items, with an approval step (AS-13).
The canvas gateway's Pool B OpenRouter proxy supports the Responses API (AS-70).
Vapor deploys no longer fail when the deploy message is long.

8–9 Oct: integration hardening

MCP OAuth refresh and reconnects are fixed, and integration tests show clearer errors (AS-72). You can also reconnect an integration from Manage Tools.
MCP timeouts are fixed, and Assist flags enabled tools that a server no longer offers.
Races between parallel sandbox, sub-agent and canvas calls are fixed (AS-73), along with sandbox tool timeouts.

13 Oct: about 17 agents (Onboarding Guide, Troubleshooter, Trust & Compliance, the Signal family, MSQ Brand Guardian and others) and 9 apps (SEO Insights, Storyboarder, Deep Researcher, GEO/AEO, Video Studio beta, Image Attention Map and others).

14–15 Oct

You can queue chat messages while Assist is still working (AS-20).
Image generation supports transparent backgrounds, with previews (AS-29).
Chat mention previews are better (AS-22).
The default agent name is now "Assist" (AS-46).
Testing an integration shows the MCP server's full error.
Microsoft Entra sign-in no longer forces the consent screen.

20–22 Oct

Admins get DAU/MAU on the usage dashboard (AS-75), and usage increases are saved in millions (AS-41).
Excel workbooks can be previewed (AS-47).
Agents and templates can be shared with specific people (AS-18).
Cloning can archive the original (AS-28).
Knowledge edit and remove are hidden from users who can't use them.

You can now use Substack Briefing in Assist to summarise public Substack posts, with titles, dates, source links and key takeaways. Find it under Library → Apps → Substack Briefing.

20 October 2026 — Brand Emotion Wheel

Explore the tone your brand communicates with Brand Emotion Wheel. Review its leading tones, see supporting examples and export the results as PDF or HTML. Find it under Library → Apps → Brand Emotion Wheel.

20 October 2026 — Deep Researcher

Use Deep Researcher to investigate a topic and create a report with source links. Set the scope and timeframe, then explore the findings in Assist. Find it under Library → Apps → Deep Researcher.

20 October 2026 — Mention Finder

Find public mentions of your brand across selected web, review, forum and social sources. Explore sentiment, organise results with custom themes and download a CSV with source links. Find it under Library → Apps → Mention Finder.

22 October 2026 — Image Attention & Dwell Map

Explore where your creative is likely to attract attention with heatmap and spotlight views, ranked hotspots and viewing-time estimates. Upload an image and choose its placement to review the results. Find it under Library → Apps → Image Attention & Dwell Map.

22 October 2026 — Explore your website’s SEO in Assist

SEO Insights brings four tools into Assist: Keyword Research, Site Audit, Rank Report and Backlink Profile.
Find keyword ideas, check Google rankings, spot potential technical issues and explore which websites link to yours. Results stay saved so you can return to them later.
Ask Assist to show the settings and estimated cost before starting a check.

22 October 2026 — Explore emerging trends with Trend Reporter

Research a topic or market in Assist and create a report with source links, dates and confidence levels.
Review the proposed scope and sources before starting, then use the findings to identify opportunities and areas worth exploring further. Limited evidence is clearly flagged.

New to Assist? The Onboarding Guide takes you through a simple task, one step at a time.
Learn your way around, create and refine a draft, then save it as an output you can return to later.

29 October 2026 — Improved spreadsheet previews

You can now view formatted spreadsheets directly in Assist without downloading them. Previews display dates, currencies, percentages, coloured headers and totals, and let you switch between sheets.

You can now share private agents and templates with selected people without sharing them with the whole workspace. Click Share on the item in your Private Library, choose who can use it and save. They’ll find it under Shared with me.

5 November 2026 — Queue messages while Assist works

You can now send a follow-up while Assist is still working. Your message waits in a queue and runs automatically once the current response finishes.

5 November 2026 — Clearer template labels

Templates now show the correct Text, Images or App label, making it easier to see what each one creates.

5 November 2026 — Fixed bullet points in Word exports

Fixed an issue where bullet points appeared as empty squares in exported Word documents. Standard and nested bullets now display correctly.
