AI-Generated Images — What You Need to Know

Everything you need to understand about ownership, licensing, your responsibilities, and working with AI-generated images in Assist.

Viewing and selecting generated images

When Assist generates several images, each option is numbered. This makes it easier to identify the image you want when reviewing the results or asking for changes.

1. Open the image output.
2. Select one of the numbered thumbnails to preview it at full size.

Downloading a generated image

1. Open the image output.
2. Select the numbered image you want to download.
3. In the full-size preview, select Download.

Who owns the images?

You do.

Any images you upload to Assist remain yours, and any AI-generated or AI-edited images created for you through the app are also yours — to the extent permitted by applicable law.

In short: if you made it or uploaded it, it belongs to you.

What licence does Assist have?

When you use Assist, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and transmit your content, including AI-generated images. This licence exists only so we can:

• Provide the service to you
• Maintain and improve the app
• Protect our services
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms

We do not use your content for any purpose beyond operating and improving the service.

Third-party AI providers

Assist uses third-party AI providers, such as Nana Banana / Gemini, to process your content and generate images. Here's what that means for you:

• These providers do not claim ownership of your content or the outputs they generate for you.
• They may process your content in line with their own terms and privacy policies.
• We work with trusted providers to ensure your content is handled responsibly.

Your responsibilities

When using AI image generation in Assist, you are responsible for ensuring that:

• Any content you upload does not infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademarks, and privacy rights.
• Any content you request us to generate does not infringe anyone else's rights.
• You do not use the app to create or share content that violates any applicable law or third-party rights.

Tip: If you're unsure whether a request might infringe on someone's rights, err on the side of caution and avoid generating that content.

What can you do with your AI-generated images?

Subject to these terms and applicable law, you are free to:

• Download your AI-generated images
• Use them in personal or professional projects
• Modify or edit them further
• Commercialise them — use them for commercial purposes
